Login issue for some users resulting from the weekend’s system upgrades
Some users that attempted to login on the 6th ran into errors. These have been resolved. So sorry for the trouble.
Twitter and Facebook buttons in the footer
Go ahead, follow and like BubbleTimer. It’s OK. You know you want to!

HTML is now on option along with Excel, Calc, Numbers and CSV. BubbleTimer is committed to the proposition that your time data is yours getting it should be as convenient as possible.

Thanks to Draško for inadvertently pointing this out!
Day notes were not exported if the day had no bubbled time
Now they are exported.
Excel and Calc exports
Date and number cells in Excel and Calc exports are marked as dates and numbers rather than strings.
Public development roadmap
There is now a public development roadmap linked in the footer. The roadmap is hosted by the good folks at trello.com.
Small issue with Select All / Select None in print and export activity selection
A certain sequence of actions could lead to Select All actually selecting none. This is fixed.
Activities for print and export reflect activities in the selected date range
They were limited to the activities of the current day before. Now they reflect the date range that’s selected for printing or exporting.
Excel export
Improved the format of the Excel export, including adding duration column to the expand detail sheet.
CSV Export
Improved the format of the CSV export, including adding duration column to the expand detail file.
Added an export icon to the bottom footer near print
This is a shortcut to the “Data Export” tab in My Account. Thanks to Bill for the idea.
Shared time for users using 24-hour time rather than AM/PM will show as 24-hour time
Thanks to Bill for pointing out that it is always AM/PM when shared.
Export from a shared time view
Prior to now you could export your own time but if you shared all or some of your activities with others, they would not be able to export the shared time, they could only print it. Now the shared time view supports exporting as well.
Name in shared prints and exports
Now if you print or export time from a shared view, it includes the name (or email if no name was provided) in the print out or the exported file.
No repeated “None” in goal status column in exports
If there is no goal, the goal status column is now blank rather than “None”.
Export to CSV
There is an additional export format, Comma Separated Values. This is in addition to the Excel, Numbers and Calc formats already supported.
Problem in the default date range when a using non-US print/export date format
When a non-US date format was selected, the date format was mis-interpreted in providing the initial 7-day date range on printing and exporting.
Thanks to tgrayston for pointing out the problem in the support forums.
Desktop Notifications (Chrome Only)
In addition to the previous options of the audible chime or flashing the browser tab, BubbleTimer now supports Desktop notification messages in Google’s Chrome browser.
Alert every 15 minutes or at the top of the hour
You used to be able to set BubbleTimer to never alert you or alert you every 15 minutes. There is no the option to have BubbleTimer alert you at the top of the hour.
If you click the chime icon in the top right (it was formerly a toggle), you now get an alert preferences dialog.
The alert preferences dialog lets you set up any combination of the three alert types (chime, flash the tab, or desktop notifications), and the frequency of the alert. In also lets you test the settings so you can experience what the alert setting will be like.
Select just the activities you want to print
You can now select specific activities to print rather than printing them all.
Thanks to tgrayston for the suggestion on the forums.
Select all / Select none toggle for the activities in the export dialog
There is now a way to select all or none of the activities w/o having to check or uncheck them all.
Blue current time bar on Safari and Chrome
A recent update to Chrome caused the blue bar that marks the current time to be a bit offset at the top of the hour. Our initial clumsy attempt at fixing it caused more harm than good and messed it up on Safari too. It’s now fixed and thoroughly tested across IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
You may need to force a refresh (usually CMD-R or CTL-R in your browser) to get the new CSS if you still see the blue bar messed up.
It may still be messed up if you use Chrome with the Developer Tools open. If so, close them.
